Membergroup moderators

an option to use a membergroup name (so all memebers under the member group name are mods) for the moderator of a board.

There is already a member group called moderators which sets permissions for board moderators so this is done I believe

I think he means under board maintenance, instead of having to individually specify moderators, we could specify "charter members" as the moderator, and all Charter Members could moderate that board.

yep thats what i was trying to get out.

I put this to a vote, and it was turned down.  Could still be made a mod really easily.

When was this voted on?  You can do it with permissions and I feel it makes sense that if you set a group as a moderator for a board they show up in the moderators list and get stars, etc.
