mirahalo

so, your trying to put all this text on the field:

<textarea class="editor" name="message" id="message" rows="12" cols="60" onselect="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);" onchange="storeCaret(this);" tabindex="2" style="width: 100%; height: 175px;">Borrar lo que no se use, antes de publicar.

theres no need to put the <textarea> code,    using html tags will only produce the same html tags, but the html itself will not work, this mod was design to only support text and bbc code

@Kcmartz  I didn't understand you, would you be more specific please?

130860, those textarea codes are not in the prefill content... I just paste the html of the page, to show that the prefill content is there... but not showed

<textarea class="editor" name="message" id="message" rows="12" cols="60" onselect="storeCaret(this);" onclick="storeCaret(this);" onkeyup="storeCaret(this);" onchange="storeCaret(this);" tabindex="2" style="width: 100%; height: 175px;">123 123</textarea>

that 123 123 is the prefilled content...

it is there... in the code... but it is not showed... or it is erased/emptied... or something happens....

mirahalo

let me make a few test to see whats causing the problem

just for the records, 130860 discovered that the mod do not works properly when wysiwyg editor is on by default (user configuration)

(with the current mod version, obviously)

thanks for the report  I'll see what I can do to include the wysiwyg editor

Miss All Sunday:
Could you add support for different boards to have different pre-filled content? like phpBB has, I need something like that for my forum for certain boards.

ok, I will try to add more options but first I gotta do a full research on this mod as it has some bugs on it.

Ok. I cannot wait to implement it into my redone forum!

After rigorous searching i've found no alternative to this, if anyone has any alternative suggestions to a mod with this kind of feature set or if this mod is planned to make a come-back i'd love to hear about it.

No there are no plans for updating this mod.

You can use emulation: How can I install a mod that doesn't work in my SMF version? or you can follow the mod's parser: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=2668;attach=152465;smf_version=2.0_RC3

But do it at your own risk, I'm no longer offering support for this.

Sadly, I wonder how long it'll be before someone says "If you're not going to support it, you shouldn't have released it"

Pretty much anything for RC3 and up will work fine on 2.0.4, in case anyone's interested.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

Yeah :(

I've been reading a lot of request for this, dunno why it is popular and I wanted to offer an updated version (back then when I cared) but I just couldn't find any time to do a proper update.

Last time I thought abut this I was thinking on what would be the best way to do this with JavaScript but also provide a fallback for non JS users. ever really found any viable solution.
