How to empty upload folder

I did a search in Community and couldn't find a way to fix this problem. I went into attachments and avatars and couldn't find a way to empty the upload folder.  The photo I'm trying to add is only 463kb

An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.

Empty it?

Surely, that would delete all the attachments?

If you increase the size of the directory, you'll get more in, if you have enough room on the server.

If you want to prune some attachments, you can do that, in Admin, too, in Attachment and avatars>File maintenance.

I'll try to increase the directory. Don't want to chance of deleting any. Thanks.

UPDATE: It worked. I increased the directory capacity. I'm still learning. Thanks.

I just ran into the fix. I was wondering why it would go to the forum when I would hit my shortcut, but it wouldn't open as my homepage. So I replaced the homepage URL to the one I had in the shortcut. Oh well. My old age is getting to me.
