Hey there

Been messing aroud and testing the new Joomla 1.01 and SMF 1.1 RC1 with bridge MOS_SMF_BRIDGEv3.19a_SMF1.1b3
And I got alot of it working but have suddenly encountered a problem.
When I am logged in as someone with rights to edit news I get an error when I mouse-over the EDIT icon on the frontpage and anywhere else.

Look here LINK
and log in with
user: testadmin
pass: testadmin

And try hover over a edit icon, see the error.

Did I do something or is this an error in the code??

Doesn't anyone else have encountered this prob.???

I have several installs of Joomla going with the newest, Joomla/SMF/Bridge and it's the same with everyone of them, and some are on my local machine and one is at my host so I do not think it has anything to do with the server settings. Also I don't think it's a template problem, causy I have tried several templates.

I have just tried installing the MosCE and that didn't fix it either, anyone with some suggestions??

UPDATE: Hmmm, just tried a fresh install of Joomla on my local machine, and it seems the error has to do with Joomla and not SMF, will try getting help on Joomla forums  :-[

Jep

My thought too, Javascript

But I have searched the Joomla forums and it seems more people have this problem but no solution yet over there  :( also no response  >:(
But I hope it will come soon 'cause Joola cam't live with this, it's some core code problem I think
I have tried four different editors, several templates and 2 server setups and it's all the same so I hope they find I solution, I myself ain't experienced enough to deal with it, sadly.

You obviously got it  fixed somehow acoustika, as I not only did not get any error but I was able to 'edit' and save...  Anna

Well I should get used to testing things with firefox even though I use IE myself, I bet you used FF Anna????

I tested it with FF and I can see it works fine there :-)

Make sure your "live site" url is a valid URL. Look at the source and see where the javascript includes are pointing to and verifiy you can get to that location.

acoustika

I checked the Live site Url's and it has nothing to do with this

I have come closer to a solution on the Joomla forums.

tjeck these threads, it has something to do with Joomla's way of doing DIVs
