Cannot delete a users account

When I try to delete a spammers posts, threads, and account I get this error


An Error Has Occurred!
No valid board selected for recycled topics



I have SMF 2.0.4

Is your Recycle Board actually valid? Did you check?

Admin > Forum > Boards > Settings > Board for recycled topics

Ok im not familiar with Recycle Boards.   I did select a random board, then tried to delete the user again and it works.  But what is Recycle Boards?

You can disable this option, not too bad for small boards, what is is a place for ALL deleted messages to be deposited...

... what is Recycle Boards?

A dedicated section of your forum into which deleted items are moved. Ideally you create a board then nominate that using the option I referred you to. Making the board inaccessible to non-Admins is a good idea while you're at it.

Periodically you may wish to visit that board and tidy out the contents - they'll then be deleted permanently.
