Language selector: use Accept-Lang or better default for non-authed users

The language selector ("Select language") on the top right on this forum defaults to Albanian (first language in the list) for me while I'm not logged in. I think the odds that a non-authenticated visitor to this forum speaks Albanian are lower than for other languages, such as English or Spanish.

That's why I think it would be much better to populate, for unauthenticated users only, this setting from the browsers' Accept-Lang header. If this seems like too much work, setting a site-wide default language which is more widely understood than Albanian (such as English or Spanish) would still be an improvement.

He's not wrong...

But, I believe that selector just shows the first available selection, in the list. Nothing more. The forum's English, unless another language is selected.

With cookies deleted, all the menus are Albanian (or some other language I don't understand, but it looks like it could be Albanian) for me.

Edit:
Hmm, actually I just tried to reproduce this - and was unable to. I'm entirely sure it was defaulting to Albanian menus at some point during the past few (<=6) months, though.

I just tried it, using a browser that I've never used, on this site.

The site was in English. (Well, the Yank version thereof, anyway) ;)
