So I was working on a guild website for a video game my friends and I play. I decided to add a forum. After adding one, I took a little break from the PC (30 days or so). I came back to the site and found that bots had posted almost 800,000 times. This is crazy.

How do I stop this? What kind of security can I do to prevent this from happening? Is there a way to completely wipe it from the admin panel?

Spam is really a problem... If you leave your forum unattended and spammers find you, you're in trouble...

Remember: captcha is pretty much useless. The best way to protect yourself is to add good questions and answers.

If you just started your forum, it's probably easier to just start all over again...
