Hi Support Team,
I am using SMF 2.0.2.
I have 1 main forum : http://example.net/

I have 2 new domains :
http://example.me/
http://example.org/

1 ) Multidomain forum :
I want to use .me domain as only alternate domain using all the files and DB of main (.net) domain.
For this purpose i have just copied all the files of main domain (.net) and pasted in .me's directory.
And changed value of only a few variable in settings.php :

$mbname = 'Example.me'; .
$boardurl = 'http://example.me'; # URL to your forum's folder. (without the trailing /!)
$cookiename = 'SMFCookie956'; # Set this value to same as main domain's.

Also i set the path of sources, themes, cache to main domain's (.net) path.
$boarddir = '/home/example.net'; # The absolute path to the forum's folder. (not just '.'!)
$sourcedir = '/home/example.net/Sources'; # Path to the Sources directory.
$cachedir = '/home/example.net/cache'; # Path to the cache directory.

Everything is working fine by this, but i am not sure if it is the right way to do it.

2 ) Multiple Forum :
I want to use .org for different purposes.
This forum will share a few tables of main (.net) domain , like members, themes etc.

I have read lots of topics related to multiforum , but i don't know which one to follow.

doing things like that is certain to cause issues.

If you absolutely insista on doing that, I suggest using Feline's subforums/subdomains mod

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

And you should also update your forum as you are some security fixes behind ;)
