Followed links in admin's posts when using nofollow all links

Is anyone aware of a way that admins can include a followed link in their post while using the nofollow all links mod?

Not without a non-trivial rewrite of the parser (someone has done the opposite, and based it on the post count of the poster so that newer users don't have nofollow)

But in most cases, limiting links by nofollow actually hurts, not helps, your SEO. Your ranking is a factor, amongst other things, based on your inbound *and* outbound links. If most links are 'I don't trust this link', it actually penalises you for it.

That's interesting. So you're saying that removing the nofollow all links mod will have a positive impact on SEO? Is there an easy way to monitor the outbound links? I'm just concerned about spammers and negative SEO attacks.

Arantor

History has certainly shown that's likely to be the case.

Dealing with spammers is easy - keep them at bay before they can make a post: Spam - my forum is flooded with spam, what can I do

Negative SEO attacks are why you have moderators or you monitor posts yourself (and perhaps also curb the window in which posts can be edited, preventing sneak edits after the fact)

But there's no magic bullet for user-generated-content sites. You're guaranteed to be having an uphill battle simply because there's so much stuff that other sites might do that forums *won't*. Such exciting things like keyword density are not going to be cared about by your members.

I just noticed that the nofollow all links mod doesn't nofollow the internal link structure. Therefore, page rank still flows throughout the site. So, by removing the mod, how would that help the site's SEO?

See the statement above.

Seo is not based solely on internal links. It takes into account outbound links as well...  So, by basically marking all outbound links as he trusted, google assumes that you are trying to pull something or have a site which should not be trusted itself.

Basically, nofollow should be used sparingly... For example, as we have here, links posted by users are only nofollow until the user hits 10 posts.

Is that custom, or is there a mod for that?

Arantor

It's available on the site, look for Anti-Spam Links, which was adapted from this site's version.
