admin buttons for user not showing up

i have this weird situation. i have a user with admin power, she is trying to add a new item, when she clicks add new item for the corresponding section she gets the editor but there is no way to save/apply except cancel! why is this happening? all thse buttons are grayed out.

everything was fine, she came back after a long week and now she cannot add new items. i have made no changes at all.

is there any fix to this? i was looking but couldn't find any, i am using the new joomla version 1[1].0.2

Are you talking about in Joomla or Mambo?  Have you tried their forums?

One thought is, have you tried turning off any WYSIWYG editors?

yeah, i have tried the joomla forum and no one has replied yet. i tried turning off editors, this is really weird. i am using joomla. i don't know what to do.

Have her make a new account and give it admin rights, and see if that works OK for her.  If it does, at least you know it has to do with her account.  I'm not sure how to fix it after that, but it will probably take some poking in the database.

hey!!! that's a fantastic IDEA!!! that happened to me when i installed the smf bridge in joomla and it came up not valid, so i had to create another smf forum link and it worked!
i am going to try this right now, i will edit my results here. thank you man!!!!

No problem.  I didn't post the rest of what I was going to say, which is if that doesn't fix it, it probably is something specific to her computer (unless it's happening if she logs in to multiple systems as well).
