I was hoping that an option could be included to the profile for users to decide whether they want to be returned to the thread or the message index after they have made a post.

Here I notice it is set to return to message index which I find annoying as I like to make sure that my post wasn't "interrupted" by someone else as it can effect the reply (especially in word assocation thread :D )

I think it would be nice for the user to decide how they wanted to be redirected?

It'll probably be an option at one point.

If its not included by default I'll be porting my mod over that does this.

Just add it as a checkbox under Additional Options.

Is that under the profile? My board was 50/50 split on which they liked so I put it as a per-user setting instead of making it global.

Hmm, a slight suggestion. usually people who like to return to the post, always do. How about saving the option in the member profile?

would be better if it remembered you had ticked it for future threads though ;)

yeah this would be better in the user profile .. so we don't need to tick that small thing in every time we post ..

We don't need a reason to help people

Also, if when you ticked the box it took 1 away from the thread view count it would be nice. That way view counts wouldn't get bumped up improperly.

Actually, they don't get bumped ;).
