Problem with bot on forum 2.0.11

Since yesterday we are overwhelmed with bot creating accounts and posting advertising messages about viagra (how the *** did they know that.... )

I have managed to block them posting by increasing drastically the security and confirmations needed in order to post.

I thought I had managed the account creation too, but no... This morning I had 5 new "BS" members, well better than 60 yesterday but still....

Is anyone can help me on the procedure to follow to get rid of that kind of attack?
