Forum broken after ISP migration

Hi,

Beforehand, I'm on SMF 2.0.14

So my ISP recently had a merger with a different company and all data was migrated to different addresses.

This of course made a lot of the graphics weird because the default theme was located on an outdated address (And every other theme as well), so I figured I'd repair it. However, I think I screwed up the process either because I did not provide the correct FTP address and because I might have switched the default theme from Curve to something else.

So what happened then was that the correct graphics showed up, but none of the admin options were available. It kept saying "Section not available" which basically barred me from doing anything.

So I then read elsewhere that there was a way to force the default theme by removing the currently chosen theme from the FTP. I tried this and now I get a site, like a text website with a white background and text links, but it's "stuck there". I can click the links, but it takes forever and it doesn't go anywhere.

The "theme" also gave me this error:

"Database Error
MySQL server has gone away
File: /www/webvol23/4o/o84arn6p9tgmgj4/iranhistoryforum.com/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs.php
Line: 2690

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 2.0.14, while your database is at version 2.0.4. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php."

At this point, I am really desperate. What can I possibly do to fix this?

What is repair_settings.php?

Start by running repair_settings and making sure all settings are correct.
If DB info is wrong, you will first have to fix that and save, then start again and check all other settings.

Thank you. I was about to get a heart attack. What a nifty tool. After some toying around I finally stumbled upon the correct addresses.
