I have a rather large site that i moderate (A Guildwars Site) with 800+ active members. I want to add a group and populate this group with certain people. I want the group to have the permissions to delete members accounts but only as far as place them in limbo and from specific groups (i need protected gropus like admins etc). By that i mean i want to authorise them for permanent deletion later.

If i give them deletion permissions as it is and 1 goes rogue on me he / she could remove all members.

Is this possible without using the Global Moderators Mod?

how about making a membergroup called About To Be Deleted.. with no access

then allow your new moderator group to move members to this group and you as a admin can delete the members later on..

just a thought dont know if it will work for u

I have thought of doing this but i then have a problem. I dont see a way to allow a certain member group to moderate another group. If i give them permissions to add members to groups without deletion permission, they can simply add themselves to another "Global Mod Group" and do it that way, or am i missing something?

Yes you're right. I cannot help on that because i'm not a programmer, but if i'm not wrong i saw something like that already posted in the foruns.

yes im afraid your right. I guess you need to find some mods that you can truely trust.. when it comes to membergroups and deletion of members i only trust myself.. mods can do other thing..

I have looked at this, however it states ir is not compatible with my version 1.1.3

it should work with 1.1.3. 

1.1.3 changes did nothing to what this Mod affects.
