Anyone having intermittent slow posting since updating to SMF 2.1.2 ?

Currently investigating cases where the post action is taking a LONG time intermittently.. Server performance seems fine however since the issue is intermittent we may need to toss more monitoring on it.

Timing wise this started shortly after patching to 2.1.2 so I wanted to see if anyone else has notices this in case it is a bug in 2.1.2.

There was a problem on this forum with slow page loads for preview, don't recall that it affected posts.  It's since been fixed.  Sounds more like a server issue.

I concur.  I haven't had this issue on my 2.1.2 board.  Have you checked the webserver error logs as well as the SMF error logs?  What version are you patching from?   Also if you have access check your process list in mysql (if you're using mysql the command is show processlist;) to see if you've got some queries waiting for an idle process.  As it's intermittent, I'd look for a pattern as for specific time of the day that it happens (is there a cron job running a backup or something that affects the forum with the new patch?  Have you made any other changes to the server recently around the same time you applied the patch (OS patching, config change, etc)?

Note, I did a major overhaul upgrade from 2.0.5 to 2.1.2, and didn't have any issues with this.
