Forgot admin password

I managed to forget my admin password - I've tried every permutation I can think of and 19 tries in I'm here asking if there's anything I can do.

It's early on in my website development and it wouldn't all that big a deal to delete my forum and start over but I figured I'd ask before I spent time doing that.

Do you have direct access to the database (most likely)? If so, you could change it there. There's an online tool to generate the password hash, so create a new temporary password with that:

https://www.useotools.com/simple-machines-password-hash-generator [nofollow]

And then replace your lost password in the DB with that, and then change it again after you have logged in (in case you don't trust that online generator).
