But if you're prepared to *separate the hosting from the domain*, you can *definitely* do cheaper.

If they're not busy sites, you could put them all on one hosting plan with Crocweb for $12/month - that still too expensive for you?

I am trying not spend more money that I don't have. Most of these hosts that advertise deals like $12 a month don't mention that you have to buy a year or two years in advance to get the deal.

Really depends where you go - Linode's $5/month for unmanaged VPS has been consistently offered for years now, and no sudden price hike (if anything historically it went the other way, the $40/month plan used to get you a 160MB RAM VPS back in 2006, gets you quite a bit more now)

I should add, the $12/month figure was the after-discount figure, they quote $6.12/month for the first period...

Or there's Hertzler with their level 9 plan that offers 10 different domains on the plan to host multiple websites for the same sort of ballpark figure - https://www.hetzner.com/webhosting and you'll see no "have to take it out for a year" deal - there's a small setup fee, then the per month figure until you decide you don't want to proceed any more.

Ionos are not good value for money and it is absolutely possible to get yourself a better deal than you think you can get.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

It is getting a bit late here, but I will have a look at those tomorrow, thanks for your help.

In the end, I signed up with CrocWeb, I can't really afford to do that, but I did.

Hopefully they are a good hosting company!

Are there any current and up to date solutions for GDPR? Google is sending me some worrying emails about it.
