Order topics by started date

Hi there.

There's something amiss regarding board indexes, which is the ability to sort topics by started date. I've found some requests on the SMF's forum, but no mod or code snippet to do it effectively.

Would this be so difficult or so far-fetched that no one ever tried to do it and share it with the community?

This request would be for a SMF 2.0.19 forum.
