How to add a banner to bottom of my website?

Hi,

I need to add a banner to bottom of website.I tried to edit the template files but website had a white error there, did not work. Is there anyone who can help me to add a banner to my website?

Usually, you would add any banners that appear on every page in the forum, to index.template.php of your theme,
or you could use a mod like Ad Management mod
