Hi,

I'm still in 2.19 (yeah I know).

My php is 8.0 on my Linux server.

I was going to install a few things (not related to SMF) but they require PHP 8.4.

Is there any threat to my SMF by updating PHP from 8 to 8.4?

@rjen

On 2.0.19, absolutely. The highest supported php version is 8.0

To go higher you must upgrade SMF to 2.1
Running SMF 2.1 with latest TinyPortal at www.fjr-club.nl

Smf 2.1. isn't officially compatible with php 8.4. a.f.a.i.k.  whereas 2.0. as mentioned above will cause issues.

Thank you.

I'm sure there is a document on that I missed.  Always good to check.  I'm not in a position to upgrade and such.
