I've had a few snags before. Always been fixed by going back to v.1.0.5, running repair_permissions.

This is no longer working, I now get this message...

Converting members and personal messages... Unsuccessful!
This query:
SELECT ID_MEMBER, im_ignore_list, gender, secretAnswer
FROM smf_members
LIMIT 0, 500;
Caused the error:
Unknown column 'im_ignore_list' in 'field list'

Can anybody suggest what to do? Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, should have added... hxxp:www.supernauts.co.uk/forum [nonactive]

That sounds like you are running the 1.0.5 upgrade on a 1.1 install, you shouldn't be doing that.

From 1.1, it's impossible to go back to 1.0.5 unless you have a backup of your database.

Upload the files from the updatepackage for 1.1 RC2 and run upgrade.php.

It tells me that all my files are in place but when I continue it says...

Safari can't open the page "hxxp:www.supernauts.co.uk/forum/upgrade.php?step=1&maint=1 [nonactive]" because it could not load any data from this location.

With your ftp client, browse to your forum directory, and right click on upgrade.php and select chmod/permissions (Depending on your client). Select it to 755 (If there are nine check boxes that means check them all, and the "uncheck" the ones that say "Execute" for both "Group" and "Other"

I use Fetch on a mac. cntrl click on upgrade.php brought up 'get info'. I followed your instructions but get the value 766. (there were 9 check boxes)

Went back to upgrade.php on the forum and get the same error

To be honest I'd be happy to pay somebody with expertise to fix the problem and move the forum to hxxp:www.supergene.co.uk [nonactive]. I'm just out of my depth here when things go wrong.
