In my board the glow function doesn't work.

It can't display like --->> Test glow

Should I set/check anything before using this function?

[glow=red,2,300]Test glow[/glow]

You can test it in topic: http://www.tunespeed.com/ts2005/index.php?topic=3710.0

I also use IE.
I can see glow characters in this website but not mine.

Personally I think glow should be removed from future versions of SMF.

SMF claims to be compatible with Firefox and Internet Explorer. Therefore it should not have internet explorer only features.

I have the same problem with glow and shadow. :'(

I'm running SMF 1.1 RC2, if that matters.

EDIT:  :o  Dunno why, but glow is working now...

Glow is IE only.
And here I thought that glow was just a weird term for a highlighted word...
Fired up ol' IE and took a look and watta ya know!

Why?  There's no reason not to include popular bb code just because it's IE only.  If you don't like it, just don't use it.  There would be more complaints if it was removed from a vast number of users who don't care about HTML standards.

I guess you have a point it just feel it makes things look a bit pro-ie.

OT: Did quotes used to work with quick reply?

Did you guys test it in my website?

Post any message on the topic and please tell me you can see the glow or not.

If you can see the glow of your post, that means the browser is not related to my problem.

If you can't see that might mean there is something missing in my code.

Please help.  :'(

Bigguy

*Just a thought* It might not display right in FF but maybe your theme is to dark to show it at all. Is dark red going to show on black ??? (like I said just a though)

Bigguy

I`m using FF 1.5 and i dont see the glow at all ???

Nordoelum

Hmm, the glow is supposed to be red right? If so, I see it :P

Bigguy

All I see is white text on my end. No glow at all.

I did that: no glow in IE, no highlight in Firefox.  :(

[BTW, Jan, did you disable shadow at your place? The button doesn't work at all.]
