I noticed that I get this error quite a bit now:

8: Undefined index: sa
File: /home/wilrey/public_html/components/com_smf/smf.php
Line: 497

Could someone explain it to me and possibly how to fix it?

Kindred

THanks,

I searched and found a code change and implented it but still the same errors.

I guess I'll just have to wait until the next release.

Sorry about the redundant post but I just hate errors.

Post your version numbers.  Also post a link to the code change you implemented.

did you apply the fixed code that Orstio listed underneath that message?

Also listed in the STICKY, combined readme post, here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=25718.msg460344#msg460344

Yes I applied that bit of code and it didn't help.
No biggie, I'll just wait until the next update.

Thanks for the help

Kindred

if it did not stop, then you did not apply the correct code....

I found the problem.  My permissions keep getting screwed up and set to "nobody" so I can't make any changes.

I'll have to contact the host to have the permission changed back again  ::)

Kindred

no... that is going to continue to happen with the way they have php set up...

Install JoomlaXplorer. That way, you can change the permissions from within joomla, and hence as the nobody user...

Installed it, it's pretty nifty.

I got my prob solve in a round about way.  I'm still not able to change permissions through joomlaxplorer.  I was able to delete and upload a modified file.

Just out of curioustiy, what causes the "nobody" permissions and how would I change them?

Thanks for the heads up!

Orstio

Go to your Joomla admin panel.

Click on Global Configuration.

Click on the Server tab.

At the bottom will be the file creation and directory creation settings.  Any files uploaded by Joomla will be owned by "nobody".  You can set the permissions of these files and directories here.

Check the boxes marked "Apply to existing files" to change the setting on files that are already on the server.

Click Save when you have this set the way you want.
