Can anyone point me in the right direction? I assume it is somewhere in the template index.php that I need to adjust.

The site in question in http://www.diyimac.com [nofollow]

The home page is totally whacked.

Any help APPRECIATED!

I think the space in your Joomla template is just too small to fit SMF in there.

You can remove all the left Joomla modules when in forum pages, use another Joomla template or use the forum in unwrapped mode.

But it gets whacked even on the home page, not the forum page...

Actually, I would like to remove all items to the left when I am in the forums. I am using the default template, what lines need to change?

OK I see what you mean.

To remove all modules just change the setting in Joomla administrator (you can select in which objects of the top menu you want each module to appear).

henny

Thank you for your help, unfortunately I am brand new to Joomla/Mambo what do you mean by

If you go in Modules -> Site Modules and click on a module in the right it says "Pages / Items". There you can select in which pages you want this module to appear. (hold down CTRL to select more than one)

In your case you want to deselect "All" and select all the rest except "Forum".

OK :D I am getting closer. Can you tell me the setting to change to make the forum fill the width of the Joomla header? It os only about 70% of the width available.

Kindred

you may have to edit your joomla template file...   some of the templates do not automatically remove the column even if there are no modules currently present...

That's why I suggested using another template.

The default one is used by so many sites anyway.
