phpbb2 -> SMF problem

This is the error I get:

"The database password you entered was incorrect. Please make sure you are using the right password (for the SMF user!) and try it again."

Now the problem is that I am 100% sure of the users password. I have even deleted the user and re-added it to the smf sql database.

What am I doing wrong?

Resolved.

Settings.php had a different password for some reason!
