Theme Tut??

How long until someone comes along and writes a good theme tutorial for us php noobs???

I have seen quite a few guys who seem to have it sussed out, and the comic theme is a tribute to it's power and versatility.....
But i have been working too long to get a nice theme happening, and all i have really accomplished is to add my sites logo to the top of the forums page.....

cmon guys... someone must care about us poor noobs....

Much is planned in the way of documentation and I believe it's on Unknowns list.

I'm afraid you'll just have to check out other peoples posts/templates in the mean time. As we're still in public beta we're still coding a lot of stuff, I'm sure documentation will come. In the mean time ensure you have checked out style.css as you can easily colour your site using that. If you have any specific things you want to change start a topic in the template board and I'm sure someone will be able to help you out!

I have already checked out the css and stuff....
But it seems to only do colours...

I have generally used css for complete site layout designs.... but it doesnt seem to work well with smf, due to the layout tables in the default template.....

i am going for something like this, but with the board where the ssi_news part is, and if u view source, you will see it is all css...
