mod convert to move Db

is there a way to mod the code in the phpbb converter to just copy or move the data form one smf DB to another smf DB. i know just backup one and restore to another but i can't coz my host sql is messed up and i can't get the data out.

repair mysql db in phpmyadmin ?

You can do a database backup and then import it again.  Or if your host uses cPanel you can move from one db to another through phpMyyAdmin.
