Just an idea from a peon but this MOD should be pulled or at least a warning put on the front page that it is not currently compatible or safe to use on any current SMF forum as is.  I did not install it but I almost did until going through all of these threads.
What are you basing your decision on?  Did you read my post, just above your's?  It intergrates with my smf 2b4 forum, using the default theme and the online theme.  smf users are automaticallly logged into the chat program.  Anyone not registered on my site cannot get into the chat app.  There is no way you can sign up for the chat program outside of my smf.  Once you're a member of my forum, you can just go right into the chat.  The chat program is fully inclosed right inside of my smf forum.

If you didn't install it, but "almost did", what kind of warning would you like to see (that you would have nothing to base it on), or why should the mod be pulled, just because as you admit you're a "peon"?

the code: There are currently <script src="http://www.everywherechat.com/users.asp?room=ROOMNAME"></script> people talking in the chat room.
<script src="http://www.everywherechat.com/members.asp?room=ROOMNAME"></script>
does not actually work on it's own by putting it in the template

Same problem here, apart from that chat installed fine and works great though thanks :D

Does anyone have a solution to this not working?  It's just a tad aggravating.  Currently, I've disabled the "Chat Stats" section in the php of my forums, because instead of displaying the numbers/names associated with who is in my chat room, the code pops up a "Chat Now" link in it's place.  Going directly to the URL results in a page that says "document.write("Chat Now");"

Anyone?  Help please? :)

any support for this still? I just installed it on 1.1.11 Everything installed fine. I saved my admin choices and clicked the chat button. it redirected to the chatroom but when it was done loading it was a blank screen

If this mod could be installed on 2.0 RC2, I would uninstall the AjaxChat Integration mod!

So what's the verdict? Is this MOD safe to use with SMF 1.1.11?

I used to have an older version (2.7?), hadn't used it in years. Found it wasn't working anymore, figured it was no longer compatible with my current SMF. I uninstalled it, installed 2.9 and applied it.

It acts like the old one did; opens the forum with a window for the chat where the topics would be, tries to connect to everywherechat.com but I end up same as ErnieB above with nothing but a button at the bottom titled "Float" that does nothing.

Any ideas? Should I bother trying to sort out the problem or not even go near this MOD?

I got the same exact thing.  It shows everything at the top of my forum, but where the chat should be, just a huge blank box.

Anyone have suggestions that got this working on smf 1.1.11?

What's wrong with that chat mod.

It works perfect on all the forums I have seen.
