Send to Coventry mod?

Hello,
I'm in need of a 'Send to Coventry' mod or a universal ignore, there's one I think for VB that's called 'Tachy goes to Coventry', basically instead of banning which can cause more problems/re-registration etc you send the problem user to Coventry so that when he logs in everything appears to be normal, he can carry on reading threads & even posting in them but what he doesn't realise is that no one else can read his posts so eventually as he's not getting any response or reaction to his posts he gives up & moves on - perfect

Excellent idea. I'd LOVE to see this become a Mod, or even a feature for SMF.

Hey, if this gets accepted, then that's great.  I'd love to see this too.

The one I used in IPB was called Misery.  Hopefully someone else'll catch interest that knows how to code.  If anyone knows how to port a mod, there's a link to the one here:

..because I requested this too.  Maybe now that there's more than just me looking for this, they'll make it!

There have been so many feature requests and mod request for this Tachy Goes to Coventry (which is what vB call it) feature.

I wonder if there is some kind of reason why this has never been done?

I would like this, cuz then they would be cussing at the forums and all yet he doesnt know that would be funny and also great to keep your forums safe...
