Here is my status.php can you guys tell me if this is good or not?

SMF Version: SMF 1.1
I am experencing a problem with my site.  currently I have no optimizer or whatever installed with this site, but I tried to raise my cache size with my hosting company (dot5hosting.com) they are not willing to help me out on that, so right now I am stuck with what I got now which is 256KB for table_cache.  Which is pretty low, I need to find a way to work this issue out so I can get the forum going again.  I have alot of members complaining about the speed of the forum how it "lags" on performance. 

If you guys have any thoughts or opinions to get this problem solved for me, would be appreciated.  I am running SMF 1.1 (latest model) and its slowing everyone down!! HELP!!

Sorry to say, but that's absolutely horrible!! No wonder why your site lags! Ideally, the load average should be less than 1 (and should definately not be about 5 or higher for an extended period). Is the load like that often? If so, you should really consider changing to a new web host.

As a comparison, here's the load average from a server I help administer (a server for cwhnetworks.com):

i will be considering in switching new hosts... this one is just being stupid, and the customer service wont work things out with me. give me some referrals and i will check them out

1.00? Are you kidding? The only type of server that should have a max load of 1.00 is a single-core, single-cpu box. Most hosting servers are Dual-core, or Dual-CPU, or AT LEAST Hyperthreaded. Loads on these types of boxes can be 2 - 4 without any issues.

I know one server, is a dual-core, quad-cpu Xeon (5300 series CPU) which has load at around 6.50, and that equates to ~45% CPU usage.

Nevertheless, a load of 36.79, 40.07, 75.75 is typical of an oversold host, and will cause great performance troubles with dynamic scripts like SMF.
