Fair enough - wouldn't expect you to. - Just bringing it to your attention, as it was the first thing that jumped out at me. 8)

Is it just me, or is it everytime I post here (reply) when I hit post, it tosses me back to the home dr?

Thats just you. Which browser are you using?

are we getting any closer to the release? Or will it still take quite a while?

We get closer every day.  This site was upgraded to the latest stable beta copy a few days ago and it should go out to Charter Members very soon.
This space for rent.

Well, of COURSE we get closer every day! I would hope so at least!

I am too, but there's one small problem... My board is so modded that I'm gonna have a lot of work to do before I upgrade. I'm not sure how I'm gonna do it. I may just wipe out my current board and install SMF 1.0 on the site (when it's released of course), then just copy whatever info I need from the old database structure (such as usernames, passwords, and email addresses, as well as avatar stuff). However, if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. I could just uninstall all the mods, but that would take a really long time...

I just regsitered with simple machines but do not see how to upgrade from YaBB SE.
So many links are "coming soon" -- What is the hyperlink address for the upgrade?
Thanks.

SMF isn't out for public yet. It's still in beta status.

Well, YaBB SP.1 Gold was the first type of forum I ever installed and ran. YaBB SE was the second.

Then I got caught up in becoming an apprentice SEO, and thought that other forums offered more in terms of internet marketing.

Now, 3 vBulletin licenses down the road, and I am almost absolutely certain that I should always have stayed with the YaBB SE project.

Other forum software has had its forum links devalued. SMF and YaBB SE appear to have escaped it all.

Looks like I'm back and ready to become a part in the Simple Machines project. Funny thing as well - this was always the strongest in terms of community spirit. Glad to return. :)

Just... uhh.... well... err, okay fine - I'm too stupid to understand what you mean by that.

Eh?
