Hello Guys,

i want to install the SMF Gallery from here.
I tryed some ways to install it, but i always get an error.

Two ways i have taken:

1. Copy all files to the SMF directory (when i want to use the galleryinstall.php , i get a blank page)
2. I wantet to install it over the Package installer via the Forum (Directory can not be changed, was the error here)

How can i install the Gallery in my Forum on a simply way?

Please Help,

I can't get this working.

I am running 1.1.4.

I have followed all the instructions, uploaded and run the mod, and edited the files.

I noticed that some of the files were already edited (by the mod??) and some where not.  The ones that were not modified, i added the changes as per the instructions.

The Gallery is located here? www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery [nofollow]

There seems to be no template at all.  I have added two categories in the Admin, and they are not here either.

One file however, that I was told to modify in the

themes/default/languages/modifications.english-utf8.php   I do not have that file in that folder so was not able to edit it.

Any ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Chris.

The gallery is actually located at http://www.yourforum.com/index.php?action=gallery

If you have a custom theme a button/link needs to be added to the theme.

If you are using the default theme make sure your language is set to English

Cool, thanks for that.

How come in the settings it says that the Gallery URL is

www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery for?

vbgamer45

It should be www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery/

That's the path to where the pictures are stored.

In the Gallery Settings, I changed the URL for the Gallery to www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/ndex.php?action=gallery [nofollow]

Now when I go to www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery/ [nofollow] it actually directs to the above URL.

But I still have a problem.

I have a member who posted in my Fire Brgiade Station Photos section, and it says the image is there, however there is no image there at all.

The Member contacted me and said that when they uploaded the photo, it said it was sucessful, but it is just not there.

I logged into the site with CuteFTP, and went to /public_html/forums/gallery/  and there is no file there, shouldn't it be there it it was uploaded sucesfully?

Please go to http://www.forums.aussiefirefighters.org.au/index.php?action=gallery;cat=5 [nofollow] and you will see what i mean.

I hope someone can help, as we are a Non for Profit website, creating a communication portal for Volunteer and Career Firefighters in Australia.

Can't see the gallery as it is not allowed for guests.

Make sure gallery url under gallery configuration is set to
http://www.aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery/

I have changed that setting back to aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery [nofollow]  Now i just get a blank page..

Dragooon

You get a blank page where? Make sure the URL of gallery in config is what vBgamer said, and if its not that it won't be able to access Gallery, also, that URL is not for use to access the gallery, it is for showing images and storing images.

vbgamer45

The url should be
aussiefirefighters.org.au/gallery/

And to access the gallery use
aussiefirefighters.org.au/index.php?action=gallery

What is Lightbox? If it's a mod, can you provide a link?

What is your SMF version? What version of the gallery are you using? (Pro or basic).

Are you also planning to make this mod work for 2.0 in the near future? This mods incompatibility with 2.0 is the only thing stopping us from moving from 1.1.4 to 2.0 right now :-/
