Stuck on step 2 on upgrading SMF (to 1.1.4)

SMF Version: SMF 1.1.4
Hello all

I have got through to uploading SMF 1.1.4 but i am having trouble upgrading from a previous version (very previous)

Anyway, after step 1, the upgrader just continues to load until i get the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage error (i would use firefox usually)

can anyone find it in their heart to help me out?

PS: I have had a look at the Upgrade timeout sticky thread - seems out of date to me

What version of the Upgrade are you using?  Small or Large?  If it's old I'm sure you'll need to run the Large upgrade, tho if it's in the 1.0.* stage there might be more involved.  Have you searched for your specific version and upgrade in the search function?

I am having the same problem and using the large upgrade to 1.14. mY previous version was RC1.

Solve the stuck issue by using iE6 instead of iE7 or Firefox.
