mail problem

I've tried searching the forums and using some suggested solutions but nothing works.

I have a free domain account, SMTP disabled apparently. But php mail option works, well sort of...

Test mail which I've found and have tested delivers an e-mail to any address... Next, newsletter option when used also works...

Now here's my problem, notification or greeting (when a new member registers) e-mail doesn't work. I've tested it countless time, BTW those options have been selected when I've tested them.

Does anybody have any idea, why this isn't working?

Maybe I've overlooked something...
