An Error Has Occurred!
The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

For the record, I'm running it on 1.1.9 and it's fine. ;)

hello,

i am using smf 1.1.9 and this theme.

i have problem with putting an image logo url? i just want to overlap the simple machines default logo but i do not know how. when i put my image logo url, the new logo will appear with the simple machines default logo. the simple machines default logo expands to the right making my site become wider. how do i fix this? pls?

kjt

I can't remember exactly how I did it, but I know I found the answers here. You have to delete the smf logo to prevent your banner from pushing the smf logo off to the side, or, you can make your banner narrower..try 720 pixels.

If you want you banner centered at the top, remove the smf logo and then center the banner.

Do a search here for removing smf logo, and then another search for centering banner.

kjt,

any chance that this one will get updated for smf2 ?  Many members use this one, but I am going to version 2 very soon.

Antechinus

Uhura!

This is an awesome mod!

Just one issue for me:

SMF 1.1.10

Here's the theme which was installed: http://custom.simplemachines.org/themes/index.php?lemma=158

There's a part @ the top which is still blue on a few of the color options. (Example attached with "orange" theme choice...)

Can you tell me how to adjust this?

Background colour for the catbg class. Change the hex code in the relevant css files.

A,

What / where are the relevent files?

Am I in the right spot? (see attachment)

I opened the orange file but I am not sure where I should be changing the hex code.

Ok, word of advice. Forget editing live in their silly little interface. Download the files you want (ftp rocks) and edit them in a proper code editor like Notepad++. That way you can just open all the css files you want to change in one go, enter "catbg" in the search option, and get a list of which lines it occurs on in all opened files. Makes things much easier, plus it has syntax highlighting which makes it a lot easier to spot any errors you may have made (particularly valuable when doing php files). Added bonus is that you have a backup copy from before the edits sitting there on your desktop.

To be honest, about 1/3 of what you said went straight over my head.

At my current skill level, I would feel more comfortable doing it right in the file & making a "Backup" copy there or even in the regular notepad on my PC just in case I mess up...so, with that in mind can you point me to the right bit of code in the orange file (and I'll follow the same procedure for the others where I see this little fluke)?

Look for catbg. It will have something like this:    background: url(images/catbg.jpg) #88A6C0 repeat-x;

#88A6C0 is the pale blue background colour that you can see. Change it to whatever you like.

Oh and do not use the standard Windows notepad for making backup files as it can seriously mess with the formatting (especially php). The reason I recommended doing it in a proper code editor is because it reduces the chance of mistakes.

Right click on it and select "View image" or "Properties" (or whatever IE has). Alternatively, get yourself Firefox and some nice web dev add-ons. That way you'll be able to find stuff easily yourself.
