How about the more you post the stroger you get.

Actually you do in a sense.  You can assign the XP towards any of your stats.  The amount of XP that you get is partially based on your posts (but not only just each post, but the content of each posts (you get more XP for longer posts than you do for really short posts.  Key words in each posts also could get a bonus as well) 


As for when this will come out.  I have just accepted a bunch of feature requests.  This could take anywhere from one to three months to complete, although, I'm sure that it will be in Beta on my site long before that.

hehe, that's all i wanted to know... as i have members that post like 3 lines for a rpg post and others that post like 300 lines...

this mod looks like an absolute dream... i can't believe i just found this...

i also have a harrypotter site and currently run a house point system using the karma system and just manually awarding points for rpg post...

this would be absolutely breath-taking... can't wait *grins and holds breath*

meh, i dont know, i dont like the karma fact because for mors people like me, karma is hard to give out to members unless they earn it, so that would be kinda hard.

You could also have the eXperience Bar Mod in your Package, this would be a great feature to see how eXperienced your Character is.

Just wanted to post a quick update:

I've had to slow down a great deal with attending college and a kid on the way, but I do hope to have it completed as SMF 1.0 final comes out.

I have a status update for you.

The character generator (CG) is nearly finished (the most important piece, in my opinion.  I have decided to use the BESM d20 rules--Open source.  This system is based on the popular Dungeons and dragons d20 system, but since it's open source, there would be no copywrite issues (that I'm aware of)  This system has a couple of twists from normal DnD, mainly the two that stick out are Character Points, and Attributes.

Some key features of the CG:

• Wizard interface
  
• All skills and such have descriptions
  
• Character Advancement
  

Some key features about the mod in general:

• Item Store
  
• Enhanced Calender
  
• Player "Check-in"
  
• XP and "money" is awarded by GM
  
• Multiple RPGs can be run on one Message board community
  
• The ability to add new skills, attributes, feats, items. (Player access)
  

Before I really get to the nitty-gritty, I have a question for all your RPers out there:

How do you intend on playing (using this mod)?

• Just telling a story
  
• Table-top (Rolling Dice, using combat rules...)
  
• Just for extra stats on the message board
  
• Other ?
  

The reason I ask this, is because I've found through experiance that trying to facilitate a RPG online is quite a challenge without the combat rules and dice rolling.  These things also tend to *really slow down* the game.  If there is enough support for it, I will create the combat and die rolling modifications.

Any feedback.  I'm sorry this is taking so much longer than I had originally anticipated, Life got the best of me.

Would you need to have the ability to run multiple RPG's on your boards?  This could be the same game system, different game systems, or just keeping the characters seperate between the boards.

This looks like it will be a great Mod.  I would be extremely interested in it, if it was a Table Top system; i.e. rolling d20s to battle monsters etc.

I'm not trying to sound Pushy but the Only Reason ATM i Don't Switch From phpBB to SMF is Cause phpBB has RPG mod ans SMF doesn't...

I'd Love to Switch to SMF...
But all My Freinds Like My Website With the Forum On it So if u Make it, I'll Try It phpBB has 2 RPGs in One Sometimes it get a little Confusing When you are talk to your freinds about one and they are think you talking about the other...
