Board Registration Password

I used to use the mod: Board Registration Password, but with the recent updates it looks like this mod is no longer working. This was a very useful feature as it enabled the administrator to send out a pre-arranged password to a group of people who could then automatically register and immediately start using the form without waiting for authorization.
If anyone has got any ideas then I would be very grateful.
