read the boards at the creators site....this mod is nothing but a hassle!! After installation, and its accessed in the admin cp, it removes itself from the package manager listing, making uninstallation impossible, with exception to OVERWRITING your SMF files....anyone who wants to stay updated with SMF, etc is NOT recommended to use this mod..as said, don't believe me? go look at this creators site. NO ONE can uninstall/update it after its installed

The problems caused by this mod alone is enough to turn away SMF users, If I were SMF, i would remove and ban this mod from the mod site.....I've spent the last 3 days overwriting my smf files and reinstalling everything because of this md alone....3 strikes you are out! Wont ever use this or anything made by the creator ever again.....

when installing it from package manager i get the following error:

12.     Execute Modification     ./Themes/default/index.template.php     Test failed

what code needs to go in this file and where?

i've tried smhhacks.com pacakge parser but nothing comes up... all i need to know is whats gotta go in the index.template.php for this mod (i'll put it in or modify it manually)

Just open up the installation xml file and find the code changes

what does this mean?

open up index.template.php and paste it into notepad or something, then press Ctrl and F to search for

Then just paste over that with:

Code Select Expand

<title>', create_title(), '</title>';

All it does basically is change the title in your browser depending on what location you are in.

What does the "SITE MAPS" do?

Should i turn them on? When i do i get 20+ Site Links at the bottom of the index page..

Is there a need for this?

Yes I didn't know what they were for either, on mine I got at least 40 links

I have major problems... I went onto my forum today (didn't modify anything) and it seemed alright. I soon realised when I clicked on a page other than 1 in a topic it would just direct me back to 1.

I tried turning off SEO4SMF to see if that was the problem but it didn't help. So I turned it off and removed the htaccess file and my forum worked again.

Could this problem be related to the new PHPSuExec being installed on my server?

I've got an issue with this mod, after installing it:

shoutbox doesnt 'kill shouts' anymore

i can't quote.. its just says "loading" in green forever and doesnt quote!

is it possible to uninstall this mod? i tried to do package parser but it didnt work.. can anyone please give me instructions on how to do the complete uninstall..

will restoring a backup of all the SMF files before installing this mod be sufficient enough to remove this mod? - if so which files should i restore (which ones does SEO4SMF modify when installing)??

Just uninstall it from the package manager and remove your .htaccess file
