I think this is pretty much the "bookmarks" mod that Jeff/David/Joesph wrote for YaBBSE. I'm sure someone will make this. If you only want them to appear in your profile then it shouldn't slow things down, but having them elsewhere (Every page like the bookmarks) would cause some load time issues. This is almost certainly a MOD though.
