heh, I think its probably coz [Unknown] has tried to explain it in numerous topics so far... and that can get really annoying.

No, it's my fault.  I always phrase things exactly the wrong way.  Even this sentence code easily be better put by practically anyone else on this forum.

Maybe it's also related to my being awake for the past about 26 hours... I need to stop doing this, not to mention screwing my schedule so royally.

But, nah, it wasn't actually that bad.... I'm just on a short leesh.

Hello, I found this topic going back to September 2003.  Could you inform me about the current situation?  Is there any new progress about upgrading from Supermod to SMF?  I hope there is.

Thank you.

Hello,
I just wanted to be clear which converter I should use to convert a supermod forum to a simple machines forum.  I did not see a supermod converter in the converter page.  http://www.simplemachines.org/download/?converters.  I do see a YaBBSE converter.  Is this the one I should use?  Thank you for your help.

Grudge

Try the YaBBSE converter and if you have any problems let us know. At worst it won't work - it certainly won't destroy your current install :)

Thank you for the quick reply.

I did a convert from supermod to smf a few years ago. Obviously, I don't know what's been added to Supermod during that time... but I've not looked back.

Hello,
I have tried the converter and on the first run it gives this error:

Converting members... Unsuccessful!
This query:

    UPDATE `smf`.smf_members
    SET im_ignore_list = ''
    WHERE ID_MEMBER = 29
    LIMIT 1;

Caused the error:

Unknown column 'im_ignore_list' in 'field list'

Any ideas?  I suspect that supermod has extra columns that is throwing off the converter.
