Enticing guests to join

I am looking for is a way to have all categories within boards viewable, but not all accessible unless you are registered and logged in. 

There are a few boards that I don't want just anyone to be able to read because some competing places like to try to snag info.  But I would like all the categories to show to entice new members to join.

you can turn off guest viewing of each board...

I also believe there is a mod package out there for guets viewing of board, but not messages
