I presume this has already been spotted but if not here you go  :)

If you make an edit to a post some of the text gets screwed up.

Problem is its hard to replicate :(

Edit: quoted someone on another thread and the original test has screwed up

http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=166373.msg1077931#new

Looks like it may be the smilies causing it

Tristan Perry

Testing :)

You are right :)
This isn't too easy to replicate...

If you can find a way to replicate then please let us know.  We know it is happening but we haven't been able to nail down when/why/how it is hapening.

No need to wipe your biggest user base like that but after testing it could be the reason

I've been on a VB forum that didn't like people editing the £ sign because that would end up gibberish after an edit to it looks like something doesn't like this here with smilies

The worrying thing is I only use firefox for testing because firefox has had the most security scares over time

er, i'm not following, i was pointing out to thantos that you had already said that you were using IE7?  Not insulting it?

Soz in that case but it didn't look that way and you'd be surprised how some ff act when it concerns ie

metallica48423

I know all too well :P

Im personally indifferent.  I use both browsers each for different things.   IE handles some things better than FF and vice versa

I can recreate it nearly 80% of the time...

start to post a message in IE7
someone else replies while you were posting
generates the   codes...

Edit a message in IE7 sometimes does it...

usually when there are  double  spaces  in the     message.

there.. did it with the eidt message on the above line of text.
