Hello,

Some users reportred login problems.
Surprised, i just discovered that some users exist in SMF's user database, but not in Joomla's.

In fact, the last pages of Joomla's user database, are empty.

I am using bridge 1.1.7, Joomla 1.0.12, SMF 1.1.2

If you go to your Joomla admin panel, Global Configuration, what is the setting for "Allow User Registration"?

It is set to "Yes"

Maybe i should uninstal/reinstall the bridge?

Are you hoping it will learn something?  :P

When you grow weary of installing and uninstalling, can you check to see if your SMF database user has access to your Joomla database?

Yes.

They both are at the same database, same mysql user.

Which PHP file actually performs the sync?

and i have about 30.000 users, if this is by any way relative.

Thanx

Anothing thing...

When i installed bridge 1.1.7, Joomla's menu Itemid for com_smf was 203
I edited that in the database, to 168

When you login, it will login to Itemid,203, instead of 168

I am sure this has nothing to do with the database problem, but i though i should mention it

Can you PM me superadmin access to Joomla?

I have reinstalled the bridge, and will use Bridge's registartion from now on. It works.

However, i need to sync SMF's users to Joomla, since i have lost arround 1000 registrations.
The sync function on the component doesn't seem to work...

If you go to phpMyAdmin, and check the mos_users table, do the users exist there?

Did you change this?  I just checked it, and it was set to No.  Users cannot be written into Joomla if this is set to No.

EDIT -- I changed your registration to "SMF", and registered.  I can confirm that I definitely do appear in Joomla as well.

 ??? ??? ???

I just registered. The user did not appear in Joomla.
I don't understand...

Did you use the same name, username, or email address of an an already-existing user?  You can't use the same credentials for two different registrations.  Joomla will see them as the same person.

sektor

Nope, not at all. It was all unique.

And the same problem users experience for quite some time now. They register, and when they login, modules that are only dispayed to Registered do now show. They never login to Joomla, their username doesn't exist...
