Initialise & activate the module - how exactly, sorry? I added this as instructed in the text file and it doesn't show in cpanel. Sorry first time I tried this, no idea what I've done wrong. Two files in my forum root directory and the others under root/modules?

it will not show in cpanel, you need to activate within Postnuke:
1. Go to admin
2. select Modules
3. Click regenerate
4. Find pnSMF
5. initialise
6. Activate
7. Complete entries within admin of pn for pnSMF

Is this compatible w/ SMF rc2 ?

Does this make PostNuke use SMF userbase, so my users don't need to create new user entries for PostNuke?

Yes it does.
But it's not (yet) working with MD-pro as that CMS is just become final.

Hello Cas,
your Modul works fine, but your block for the index page read messages out the forum thats not for all users decide!
i have a Board only for Team Members - Admin, Globalmods and Mods - all Users can read  the contents in the Block for Last messages.

Has anyone got this one to work in SMF 1.0 RC2?

I have postnuke at my site, and i have wated a chance to integrate these two to eachother.

It would be just great if my forum users would be able to enjoy the publications section, and publication section users could enjoy the forum.

You should upgrade your forums to 1.0.2 there are many bug fixes. Any future development on this would probably be for current versions also (I have nothing to do with it though... just recommending you update.)

I would, if it wasn't on so modified theme... I should make a whole lot of changes to it, before i can upgrade it, and afterwards i have to do same changes backwards.

I got it to work, as i wrote in the other issue, but only pn-users will be integrated to smf, not the other way.

i also have a postnuke site using pnphpbb2 and i'd like to replace it with smf but i'm still
worried about it.  curious though, but i want to know from people who have already installed
this mod if they're still having problems with it.

Hi there

I have just installed this module and there is problems with it.
I also see the module dose not work right on the autors site of the module.
When on the authors site and you click one of the links for the forum it crashs IE.
Can you please fix or some thing as this would be a very good addon to my site.

i have a heavily hacked installation of pn 723
i managed to integrate smf almost 100%
unfortunately i can`t give the code cause it won`t work with your installation

everything is done in index.php

at the top you need

$ModName = basename(dirname(__FILE__));
include 'header.php';

then you need a small piece of code in order to check if the user with the details :
$username=pnUserGetVar(uname);
$pn_pwd=pnUserGetVar(pn_pass);

is in smf member table
if yes you can loge him in using smf_api`s functions (smf_setLoginCookie)
if not then you insert the new user in sms member table and then log him in

any chance you could share a bit more code?
even if it customized, I need to get this to work with my postnuke installation and the nuy.info or casnuy.com site doesn't seem to be working very well with invalide downloads, etc.
