IPB 1.3 to SMF using backup file only?

Hey.

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a lamens when it comes to databases.  I was using IPB 1.3 for awhile, and got a backup using the admin panel for the forum database.  The problem is, that forum no longer exists due to problems with the webhost deciding they didn't want our business anymore.  I also no longer have access to IPB 1.3, which is for the better since I was not using it legally -- one of many things I hoped to remedy by switching to SMF.

At any rate, without access to the install of IPB, and only the database backup from that forum, I have found that I lack the knowledge of how to convert what I have for use on my SMF.  Does anyone have a solution?

Not tried it before but I am sure if you have the database installed on your server the converter should just need access to the database.

Again, not tried it but seems reasonable to me.
