Quick-edit bugs in offline mode

Where I currently live I'm using a modem, hence I'm not always online. However, I sometimes come back to what I was doing and I forget that I'm not online. Here's the thing:

The bug:
When  you click the quick-edit button in offline mode, instead of just telling you that you have to get online, it just keeps on "loading...". I think there should be some kind of cancel button or something so that you could get back to viewing the page without having that big loading-banner on your screen, not to mention it doesn't sort itself out once you get back online either. You have to reload the page in order to make it work.

Seems like a feature more than a bug. But I like the Idea. I will add it as a feature request and see if the devs can do anything.
