Well, at least the 2008 draft campaign site does. ;D

I'm going crazy.  For a few days, my Mambo / SMF Forum integrated site (which is obviously brand new and under heavy construction but already VERY busy) has been working fine:

http://www.algore-08.com [nofollow]

Suddenly I cannot use any links to the forum from within Mambo with most browsers.  IE seems to be okay, but Safari on a Mac gives the error "bad server response" (NSURLErrorDomain:-1011), and Firefox gives a white page.

I cannot recall making any changes to templates or forum settings that seem relevant.  I've tried re-installing the SMF files, fiddled with my Mambo templates... etc.  No luck.

To be clear, the forum works fine if Mambo isn't involved:  (i.e. http://www.algore-08.com/forum/ [nofollow] )

Any ideas, this is a real puzzler.   ???

(Update-- it's possible that this behavior only manifests on Macintosh computers, I'm not certain any of my Windows users have hit this obstacle.)

I get a white page in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Can you try turning off output compression?  What version of the Mambo bridge are you using?

That was it-- you never cease to amaze.   8)

I had tried turning output compression both on and off in SMF with no apparent effect either way.  I'd forgotten that we'd recently discovered (and turned on) gzip compression in Mambo.

For some reason, Mambo's Gzip compression breaks the SMF component.  (at least with SMF RC2 and Mambo 4.5.1)  I'll send a note to the developer.  It's too early to be sure, but this site could potentially become one of the larger Mambo/SMF integrated sites out there.  :)

Heartfelt thanks to the talented people involved in both projects.
