Some members cant see my attachments

Apologies if this is in wrong place but on my forum posting

some people are saying they cannot view the attachments, Im a total newbie at this and can add items etc but setting up and solving problems are beyond me.

Please help if you can.

does their member groups give the view attachment permission?

Its just a general forum with no specific member groups whatsoever. Which is strange as a lot can view but some cannot!!

Are the logged in when they look?  logged out? (two different permission sets!! guests don't have view attachments by default!)

sorry Im not being very clear, as it is a junior orientated site we have made it members only but all are members of same group if you like, you sign up, log in and you should see everything that all the others do.

So my question is, is it just thumbnails not showing or do they not see the links to the attachments as well?

Any errors in the error log at all?

And there are no differences in their group accesses whatsoever (even secondary groups)

(sorry for all the questions, i am just trying to ensure i understand exactly what the issue is)
