Using the 'Find and repair any errors.' in Forum Maintenance I get three types of error message:

1 - Topic #1719 contains no (actual) messages. (1 off)
2 - Topic #8 has the last message ID 168, which is incorrect. (approx 60 off)
3 - The subject of topic #366 is currently not stored in the subject cache. (approx 600)

Basically what happened was I had to restore the forum from backups and I ended up having to restore messages and topics 'by hand' a few (50 to 100) at a time. I ran the repair and it would tell me that a topic didn't exist so I would look back through the sql file, find the topic and restore it.

If I run the repair what will it do to these message/topics? Will it delete them?

Many thanks in advance

1. probably delete the topic
(since it has no messages, just a topic id reference)
2. It will fix the last id to be the actual last id.
3. It will add the topicto the subject cache.
