Please note that it may take up to 1-2 weeks before you start to see changes to your ad targeting. It uses a feature that Google itself recommends. I see no way in which this could be a reason to be banned. Funny thing...
Since I installed this mod and I put a google adsense on to my forum, there is a google bot that folows every step (click) that I  do (or anybody else does).
When I go to the forum, in some time it is there too,...if I go to a board, it does too, if I read a topic, it does too, ...if i go to admin section or do some admin or moderation actions, it tryes to "do" that too.

So for every action, ilegal for a guest, there apears an error in the error log, from that bot's fault.

Is that ok?
Because it is a litlle bit anoyng.

My guess was that probably the bot keeps track of the cliks on the adsense, and every click (view of a page) is counted. Or ...I don't know.

Sorry for the delay in the answer.
"Following" users is AdSense Bot's normal behavior. It will do so with or without this plugin, as it scans every page where there's a Google advertisement to provide better results each time.
The idea behind this plugin is to allow for that bot to find the "right" keywords, to get even better results. But it shouldn't drive its navigation anyhow.

Anyways, I've been using this plugin with advertising in every page and never had an entry in the error log. Are they permission denied errors, or some other type?

I asumed too that that is the normal behavior, but I am concerned and anoyed of the errors... that's why I asked here. I presumed that maybe it has something to do with the adsense mod. Sorry about that.

Here is a example of an error after I did a moderation action

Now there are three bots generating errors.
